Proposal Aftermath [Ali & Johnny]

I don't even know where to begin with this post because I have so much I could say about these two! I met Ali and Johnny my first day of college and the rest is history! These two officially began dating in January of freshmen year and have been a dynamic duo ever since! Not only is Ali a wonderful friend of mine, but she was also my roommate for 3 years. Johnny & Ali--it has been such a joy being apart of your love story from the very beginning. With that being said, thanks for letting me document another milestone in your relationship. Congratulations and I couldn't be more excited for this wonderful adventure! 

Mini-Session Feature

I have had the opportunity to photograph these twins for many years now. It has been so great to watch them grow, see them explore and become little adults. Happy 6th birthday Ayana and Anthony! 

Little Anthony

Anthony William Johnson is 3 weeks old today! It's amazing how quickly the time passes and oh how they change each day. It is so fun to capture my sister and brother-in-laws growing little family! So much love in this household.

I absolutely love this quote! I think I have pinned it to my Pinterest board a couple times, that's how much I believe in it! I am one of those who looks forward to my birthday for a very long time. Usually I have some sort of countdown system. I don't think a person can ever be too old for a paper chain, right!? Here's the thing, I don't just love my birthday…I get just as excited for my friends and families birthdays as I do for mine. There is something so special about a birthday.  A day devoted to celebrating a persons' uniqueness, loveliness and existence. Who says we can't carry that birthday spirit and zest for life into each new day.

Start each day like it's your birthday and I guarantee you will make the world around you a better, happier, place!

This past weekend, my mom and I got to celebrate our birthdays together! We are lucky enough to only have a day in between our birthdays. We had family over for cake and got to celebrate with all of our loved ones! Here are a few snapshots of my all time favorite gifts. (I couldn't resist sharing!)

I am beyond thankful for such wonderful family members who believe in me and all that I do! Thanks Hannah for spending an afternoon modeling, I couldn't have asked for a better person to enjoy a crisp, fall day with!!

Anika Turns Two

 It is so hard to believe that my lovely little niece, Anika, turns two today! What a special day October 23rd is! I have no idea where the time as gone, but it has been so great to watch her learn, discover, and become more herself everyday. Many more happy birthdays!
